About the Gala
This is Immaculate Heart of Mary's 13th annual Winter Gala and we cannot wait to celebrate with you. This year, our event is virtual due to COVID-19.
Calling all Superheroes among us!
You’ll have a chance to bid for amazing items and packages in
mobile-friendly silent auctions starting at the end of January. All proceeds benefit the youth of IHM, fostering in them the faith, values and morals that we all want for our children.
When I think of all the hats (and masks)
our essential teachers, administration
and staff at IHM have worn this year,
the vision of superheroes comes to mind. Their
planning, organizing and implementation of our
2020 school year has been extremely effective in
keeping our students safe and learning. They have
had to plan for changes in every aspect of their
daily routine and I’m sure are more than used to
saying “things will be different this year.” The same
is true for our PRP and Youth Ministry.
Needless to say, we are all so thankful for our
teachers and staff. We truly feel like we have superheroes among us! In an effort to honor them, we
are excited to announce our annual Winter Gala
will be virtual on Saturday, February 6, 2021!
While I know that there was excitement, elegance
and fun to be had, in person, at the Winter Gala in
years past, and while this will work differently, we
hope you will join us for raffle and auction items in
the days leading up to the 6th and concluding with
a fun evening together online that night!
Who benefits from the funds raised at the Winter Gala?
The funds raised by the Gala are used to support the youth of IHM!
IHM Day school, PRP, and Youth Group benefit
- 50% of Gala funds go to grade school youth who are financially disadvantaged to help with tuition assistance so they can attend IHM school.
- The remaining 50% of funds support our youth group initiatives and the parish religious program (PRP).
This fundraising event can only be
successful if we have strong support from our
fellow parishioners, like you.
Once again, thanks to the generosity of Dennis
and Lois Doyle, and their $10,000 matching gift,
we will be able to add an endowed scholarship, this
year in honor of our “Essential Heroes.”
I think our essential teachers and staff would
agree that the students are their superheroes, as
they show up each day with the willingness to
follow all safety precautions. And don’t think we
forgot about you. The parents, grandparents, family
and friends who make heroic sacrifices each and
every day. We have learned this year more than
ever, we are all connected a little more than we may
have thought.
Please join us throughout Catholic
Schools Week and the evening of our Gala to show
up for this loving, heroic and intertwined community and witness all of the Superheroes Among Us.
If
you, someone you know or a business would like
to donate to our raffles and auctions, please reach
